The new pontoon swim at Sapphire
The new pontoon swim at Sapphire is now in place. A boardwalk takes you straight out of the woods onto a large decked area, which juts out beyond the tree line.
Anglers now have access to the area at the far end of the lake and the first anglers to try the pontoon out gave it a big thumbs up within minutes. The pontoon had just been completed and a group of anglers decided to take it in turns to use it as a stalking post. They only had to wait 20 minutes before the pontoon saw it’s first carp!
The action begins!
I only went there to get some quick shots of the new pontoon but the guys obviously thought that it needed some action to go with it. Nice action too, with the shots showing young Matt smashing his PB with a 25lb 8oz mirror.
Matt’s immaculate fish was the 8th of the session so far. Let’s hope that the rest of the week brings even more great runs.
