Here’s the latest from Castle Lake, a 42 acre venue with some seriously good looking carp…
Tom our fishery manager has been busy repairing and tidying swims up for the current season.
Saturday afternoon saw him working on peg 3 and as he did so he decided to throw a couple of rods out for a few hours. Well, he didn’t get much work done as in the next 2 hours he landed a 36, 37 and a 40.

Another day spent swim building (or shall I say more fishing) for Tom, and yes you’ve guessed it, another fish. A great shape to the fish just a little shame about the damaged tail.

The fish looked in good condition and by the looks of it have certainly started to feed strongly. Hopefully the next time he decides to do a bit of swim building he does not take his rods, this way he may get a bit of work done!
