Could you be an Angling Lines blogger?

If writing about Angling appeals to you, we’d love for you to become a regular blogger. You will get an impressive, developing platform to voice your thoughts and an opportunity to become part of the Angling Lines team.

WE ARE AFTER

  • Good interesting specimen fishing pieces; emphasis obviously on carp but catfish, sturgeon, pike, barbel are all of interest.
  • Video diaries or blog write-ups of your French or UK sessions, maybe you could turn it into a series.
  • Short how-to videos and technical posts on bait, tackle or maybe you’ve got an interesting tactic/theory to try out that would be worth a read.

IN RETURN

We feel we have set up a great reward scheme working on a points system per contribution. You have the opportunity to fish any of our current venues, paid for by the points you’ve earned and you can even take a friend. For example, you may write a 6 piece series on your weekend summer sessions, and in return you’ll have earned yourself a weeks fishing to a venue such as Villefond. If you’re keen, we’re more than happy to give you the opportunity to fish all kinds of waters.

THE DETAILS

There are no strict deadlines, write only when you have time, but we are looking for people who want to write at least a couple of times a month. You will get editorial help, direction, and story ideas– as much or as little as you want and need. If you, or someone you know, is interested in becoming a blogger for Angling Lines, please email Heather on  [email protected] with a pitch and any questions you may have. We’ll want to know what your ideas are, what you might want to write about, and how you expect to do it. Some sense of your writing style would help i.e any article you may have written before. But there are no particular requirements other than enthusiasm for the sport, a good writing style and, hopefully, a sense of humour.

I am just about to start my new winter campaign in the Fens chasing Zander. I intend to write up each weekly session if this is of any interest to you?

Sounds interesting Rob. If you want to drop us an email on [email protected], we can take it from there.
