Two Fifties Stocked at Jonchery Carp Lake

Jonchery carp lake gets an additional stocking of 2 x 50lb+, 15 x 30lb+ and 50 x 20lb+ carp this January. We think the common at 00:34 seconds in is an absolute corker!

Forties and a Fifty Stocked at Brie

The Bacheliers have been busy draining stock lakes all winter for a range of specimen. In the process they have held a number of carp from 30-60lbs in a stock lake to be re-homed within their carp fishing lakes this January. It’s Brie‘s turn today to receive some stunning target fish including 3 x forties, 1 x mid-fifty and 2 x fifty pound grass carp.

Inflight at Beaurepaire

An aerial flight over Beaurepaire, designed to give you a real taster of the venue’s layout and lake features.

Beaurepaire has been a well kept secret by many who have fished it. It’s a beautiful natural gravel pit, just 2½ hours from Calais that’s stuffed with carp to high 40’s and catfish to 50lb+. Ideally suit a group of up to six anglers looking to book a lake exclusively… but individual bookings are welcome too. There are no designated swims but there’s plenty of room to bivvy up.

This 13 acre lake is around 40 years old, spring fed and the banks are lined with fully grown willow trees which have had plenty of time to mature. There’s a big head of 30lb+ carp with 40’s to go at too. Only a couple of hours from Calais, Molyneux is also running ‘out of season’ offers this year with 50% off.

Safe Carp Rigs – Lead Ejection

Leads must eject safely from a carp fishing rig in the event of a break-off or a carp becoming snagged – if they don’t it can result in death for a tethered carp…  

In this video Ron Key, Chairman of the British Carp Study Group, explains how to construct a rig from which the lead will detach safely & then goes on to demonstrate a couple of variations.
