Bears Lake is hired exclusively for up to 3 anglers for the week and non anglers are welcome too. The hire of the venue includes a lakeside apartment which can sleep 4 guests with a twin and double room.

The lake was initially thought to be a slate quarry, so the lake bed varies with some silt pockets. The average depth ranges from 1-3 meters. The overhanging trees create some great margin spots and the lake is fed by several water sources.

Home to around 130 carp with the record currently at 52lb, a significant portion of the population weighs over 30lb and there is a good head at 40lb+.

The lake is home to a couple of catfish, some pike and a few roach.
