During the week commencing 18th May at Sapphire we received this short message from Jake Watkins, fishing on his own at the dam wall end…
“Fish everywhere up this end. Wind really blowing. 58lb 12 oz mirror. 5 fish in first 24 hours! – fingers crossed”

Well done Jake – that’s smashed the lake record 54lb 4oz common banked over a year ago and the 53lb 10oz mirror banked just last month.
