A quick update from Watersmeet, where owners Sue and Oli are busy preparing for our anglers to arrive in May…
It has been cold and wet a lot of the time, but on the sunny days we took the opportunity to get to work – chopping trees that were either dead or ones that we thought were overgrown and needed removing. We also had delivery of some new trees which have been planted near the house.
I tried to squeeze in some fishing on the big lake but it really wasn’t the weather for it – I did take some photos so you can imagine you are there! (I did fish a small time on the small lake which when you find the right feeding spot lots of beautiful carp can be caught) – even in high winds and torrential rain!
The countdown to the open season is on and we are working hard to make it the best it can be for the new season!
