1 & 2. Mas Bas
Mas Bas is an 80-acre estate with two lakes specialising in exclusive carp fishing holidays that have facilities for everyone to enjoy. Both lakes have their own house and private swimming pool.
It’s set in the heart of rural south-west France and the privacy of the site offers tranquil family holidays with excellent carp fishing for carp to over 50lb on your doorstep. If you don’t fancy the drive from the UK why not consider flying? The nearest airport, Bergerac, is approximately 1 hour away and we’ve seen flights as low as £60 return. You can hire all your tackle & buy bait on-site so it’s an easy option.
Mas Bas Main Lake
The main lake and house can accommodate groups of up to 11 people, with up to 4 anglers fishing the lake. The layout here is unbeatable too because the house and pool sit right on the lake with incredible views of the valley.
There’s a large dining area and BBQ overlooking the lake with plenty of space for everyone to relax.

Lotus Lake
Charming cottage, private swimming pool, carp fishing from the terrace – you can’t help but fall in love with this venue. People return again and again because the terrace is right on the lakeside, so the whole family can really be together whilst your rods are out.
The house is best suited to sleeping four people, although a mezzanine does provide room for two more. The lake is ideal for one or two anglers.

3. Vincons
This beautiful spring fed 12 acre lake is home to a large stock of carp so most guests catch more fish than they thought possible! Add a lodge where you can literally fish out of the front door and also a swimming pool just metres from the lake to make this a dream holiday venue.
A maximum of 6 anglers can fish the lake and the lodge sleeps four. It is very well suited for families and non angling guests.

5 & 6. Beau Lac North and South
Two top class carp lakes on one fantastic holiday venue, Beau Lac South for up to 4 anglers and Beau Lac North for up to 2 anglers. Both lakes have their own accommodation options sleeping up to 7 people and shared use of the heated swimming pool.
You’ll find carp to over 60lb in the South lake and carp into the high 40’s in the smaller North lake. Both lakes have a great average weight with plenty of 30lb carp.

7. Villereal
This French carp fishing lake certainly ticks all the boxes, offering serious fishing with carp to over 50lb in a secluded setting, yet within a holiday complex that provides an impressive array of facilities.
The holiday complex has a swimming pool and lounging area, on site bar and restaurant and even tennis courts. One of the holiday cottages is available for rent with the fishing and comfortably sleeps up to 4 people.

8. Mystique
Mystique offers luxury carp fishing holidays, just under 2hrs drive from the port of Caen and 4hr40 from the port of Calais. The venue provides beautiful and well equipped accommodation, sleeping up to 12, on the banks of your own private carp lake suited for up to 8 anglers.
The setting is just perfect, with the house sitting less than 20m from lake, allowing you to fish and socialise from the terrace. An outdoor dining area, hot tub and above-ground pool overlooking the lake complete the picture.
With around 180-200 carp to over 45lb, and a very good average weight in the mid 30’s, the fishing is relatively easy going and provides memorable fishing for all!

9. Bletiere
Bletiere is a beautiful little lake for up to 4 anglers (ideally up to 3 to give you a bit more room), with a pretty cottage included.
The accommodation can sleep up to 6 (comprising of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and sofa-bed downstairs). There is also the option of hiring the additional annexe double bedroom, meaning groups of up to 8 can sleep here comfortably. Alongside the cottage you will find a lovely outdoor seating area, BBQ and above-ground pool.
The fishing is good with a mature stock of carp into the high forties.

Depending on the size of carp you are looking for I would immediately suggest Vincons, Mas Bas or Vaux.
Vincons is an out and out runs water. It has a small lakeside lodge and also a lovely gite. The gite is 400m from the lake and has bedrooms, dining room etc and is really lovely but the little lodge lakeside sits 3 meters from the lake and has all cooking facilities etc and a cool place to sit and eat, just alongside there is a swimming pool and as an angler fishing in front of the lodge you can also speak and see the kids poolside.
It’s in central France, the French owners are lovely ad Alice speaks excellent English. I can’t recommend it enough. The bad news is the carp are all late doubles , twenties and 30’s to around 40lb only.
Mas Bas There are two options here the lake house and the main lake both have pools. It’s a fabulous setting and both I believe would fit your needs. There is a difference in price for these so it depends on your budget.
Vaux A lovely lake but not an out and out runs water. House lakeside and a splashpool in the garden. Bakery in walking distance and 3 bedrooms ( it can sleep up to 10 max) so plenty of room in the house. This is closer to drive to than the others. Good quality accommodation and two bath/shower rooms.

You should take a look at Vincons and look to book it exclusively. It has a lakeside lodge with kitchen, a gite and a pool. It’s a really easy lake and so would be ideal for your children to get a few runs etc. Lovely area too.

There is also a new venue coming on to our website in February after final renovations and stocks are complete. 4 acre lake, it has a stunning setting by a Chateau, carp to around 50lb. The mill house is large with 4 bedrooms open plan living diner which goes onto a terrace , this terrace faces the lake and a swimming pool is just at the side of the terrace.
We already have provisional bookings for it but there are still a couple of weeks in June available. You would need to ring us direct (01773 590077) for further information on this one and exact prices have not yet been determined although we can give you an idea. All will be complete and online by 2nd week in Feb but we can send you further photos and info via email for now

We are 5 adults looking for a good size lake and great accommodation there would be 3/4 angler’s at any one time we do like comfortable accommodation and total privacy.
We have used angling lines in the past few years and have been very happy with them, we are looking for dates that don’t coincide with the school holidays.

Watersmeet lake with gite, carp lake and silver fish lake (one each side of the gite). This venue is available for Sat 10th & 17th June or 9th & 16th September. The gite has 3 bedrooms (two in the French style where you walk through one to go into the other room) great facilities and gite with wifi available and bit screen TV. This venue has a large patio area with B.B.Q overlooking the lake. Vaux lake and Mill house, has a splash pool next to the house to cool off in the warmer months. This venue is available for 24th June or 1st July weeks. Mill house has 3 bedrooms (one double, one twin and a large family room) there is a large bathroom upstairs and also a wet shower room downstairs. Golden Oak lake and gite is available for Sat 30th September only. This venue does have the owners living on site, they do tackle hire and bait and also has a splash pool for your use. This venue is near Limoges but well worth the drive. The gite has 3 generous bedrooms (one of which is on the ground floor). La Fonte lake is available for Sat 17th June week exclusive. This venue also has the option of a small gite with 2 bedroom (sleeps 4 single beds) just up the lane (extra 295 euro) or the large house at the end of the lake (sleeps up to 16 persons) extra £2,200 on top of fishing and crossing.
